Terms and Conditions for Exhibiting Artists and Artist Information Form

Sale of Photographs

All photographs selected for exhibition must be for sale while in exhibition. All photographs are sold on consignment. The Gallery keeps 50% of the print sale price. The artist receives 50% of the print sale price. Sale proceeds will be paid to the artist within 30 days of the close of the show. NB: The print price should be the same price that your print is sold for in other exhibition venues.

The Fine Print

SHIPPING – All shipping and shipping insurance costs for photographs to and from the Gallery are the responsibility of the artist. By arrangement, the artist may drop-off and pick-up work at the gallery. (Pick-ups must occur within two weeks of end of show.)
RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE – The Gallery shall be responsible for the safekeeping of all photographs while in Gallery’s possession. The Gallery shall be strictly liable to the artist for their loss or damage (except for damage resulting from flaws inherent in the photographs), is limited to 50% of the listed sale price for print and full price for frame, if frame is damaged.
AGREEMENT – By submitting this form, the artist agrees that images of their work can be used to promote the show including publicity and web site promotions. Copyright credit will be given to the artist. Submission of this form constitutes agreement to all terms and conditions described here.
REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES OF ARTIST:
Artist hereby represents and warrants to Gallery that she or he is the creator of the Artwork and is the owner of all rights to the Artwork and their use as granted to Gallery in this Agreement.

Image file specifications: 72 ppi, sized to 1200 pixels longest side and saved to the highest quality possible.

IMPORTANT: Title each jpg as follows: 
Your last name_firstnameinitial_title or part of title depending on length

Return Shipping Information

Pick One of Four Options

1. Artist encloses return label, stamps or a check for return of your work. The gallery requests you use UPS or USPS for shipping.
2. The gallery will ship your work to you via UPS with signature required. You will be billed for the price of shipping only
3. Arrange with Davis Orton Gallery to pick up your work in Hudson NY.
